Community Outreach Programs

Community Outreach Programs are assigned to various units throughtout the department. These sworn and non-sworn positions are directed toward community wellness by reducing the fear of crime and hostilities in neighborhoods. These programs provide the necessary public service announcements and works with the media to relate pertinent and accurate facts to include the establishment of programs to educate the public about the Police Department and its various functions.

The Community Relations Specialist also offers tours of the Police Administrative Building, coordinates a Speaker’s Bureau.
