Missing Person Found

The Silver Alert for missing person Theresa Blue has been cancelled as Mrs. Blue has been located safely in Columbia, South Carolina.

Mrs. Blue was picked up by a Columbia, South Carolina, Police Officer on November 8th, after she was observed wandering around the 1200 block of Henderson Street in the downtown area.  Upon questioning her to obtain information, the officer transported Mrs. Blue to a local hospital for medical evaluation.  After confirming Mrs. Blue to be in good health, the hospital released Mrs. Blue into the custody of Richland County Social Services, where she was assigned to case worker Sandra Eskew.  Ms. Eskew immediately obtained food and lodging for Mrs. Blue at a facility where she currently remains.

Ms. Eskew has continually worked with Mrs. Blue in attempts to determine her identity.  She was finally able to put enough information together to lead her to believe that the person in her custody was that of Mrs. Theresa Blue.

Eskew phoned Fayetteville Police Detectives on Wednesday, December 17th advising them of the situation. Lead Detective Jessica Navarro and Victim Advocate Teresa Currey immediately left the department arriving in Columbia County where they visited the facility and were able to immediately confirm the identity of the woman as that of Theresa Blue.

Detectives are in the process of coordinating with Cumberland County Department of Social Services personnel to determine living arrangements as to ensure Mrs. Blue’s safety and welfare.
