Community Crime Meeting

The Fayetteville Police Department will hold a Community Crime Meeting on Thursday, December 10th at 6:00 p.m., at the E.E. Miller Recreation Center located at 1347 Rim Road.

In an effort to educate and inform the public on what the police department is doing to fight crime in their neighborhoods, the Fayetteville Police Department holds a meeting every month in an area that has seen an increase in crime.  Topics of discussion include current crime trends, crime within neighborhoods, and tips on how to avoid becoming a victim of crime.

During this month’s meeting, a presentation will be given by newly promoted Lieutenant Tracey Bass-Caine regarding a new program entitled “Operation C.R.A.Y.O.N.”, (Connecting Resources Around Your Own Neighborhood.)  The goal of the program is to educate citizens on preventing child abductions from within their neighborhoods.  Details of the program to include a power point presentation will be presented.

Media personnel are welcome to attend this event.
