Missing Person

Fayetteville Detective’s are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing person.


22-year old, Joseph E. Putnam, an Army Specialist, assigned to C-Company, 2nd Battalion, 508 Parachute Infantry Battalion, was last seen at 1208 Bragg Blvd, on Tuesday, February 10th at 0415 hours. 


Putnam is a white male, 5’10”, 150 lbs., with blond hair and blue eyes. He has a cow skull and the words “Cowboy Up” tattooed on his left shoulder.  He was wearing a plain white t-shirt with Wrangler jeans and cowboy boots. Photographs are attached below.


Police are looking for a person of interest who used Putnam’s debit card on Tuesday afternoon at 1430 hours, at the Kangaroo Store located on 1764 on Ireland Drive.  The subject has been described as a black male in his late 30’s to early 40’s.  He is approximately 6’2”, 190 lbs, with recent burn marks to his abdominal area.  He is said to be bald with a short full beard and was wearing a white t-shirt with blue exercise pants.
