To honor the thousands of men and women who respond to emergency calls, dispatch emergency professionals and equipment, and render life-saving assistance to the world’s citizens, the Fayetteville Police Department Communications Division is celebrating the second full week of April (April 12-18), as National Public Safety Telecommunications Week. The event is sponsored annually by the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International.
The Communications Division of the Fayetteville Police Department receives an average of 1500, 9-1-1/other calls per day.
