Outdoor Movie Series Begins

Please join the Fayetteville Police Department this Saturday, April 4th, as season three of Operation Ceasefire Outdoor Movie Series officially begins.

The Outdoor Movie Series is used as an education tool to promote understanding of current gun laws, gun safety, and consequences for those who commit violent crimes with firearms.

Operation Ceasefire, in partnership with Cumberland County Parks & Recreation, Q 98, Partnership for Children, and the Fayetteville Swamp Dogs, will present a new movie each month for the duration of the summer. A huge screen and big sound make the newest releases come alive at night for children and teens.  This is a family friendly event where neighbors can come out and meet one another for a great time.  Admission and popcorn is FREE; and the crowd will be treated to giveaways and prizes! Q 98 will be playing great music before the movie and little ones can have a great time playing games provided by Partnership for Children, until the sun sets.

Operation Ceasefire is a program to prevent gun crime by prosecuting felons who commit violent crimes; the program also encourages responsible gun ownership. Operation Ceasefire in no way supports the disarming of law-abiding citizen or in any way discourages the lawful purchase, sale, possession or ownership of firearms.

Operation Ceasefire is funded by the City of Fayetteville and a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice, Project Safe Neighborhoods.

Following is the summer schedule of show dates:
