Update

            Fayetteville Police Officers have charged 27 year old Richard White Jr with 2nd Degree Murder in connection with the accident that claimed the life of his sister, Elizabeth White on 2/8/2011. A warrant has been issued for his arrest. Anyone seeing White is encouraged to call 911.

5'10", approximately 210 lbs.

Brown Hair, Blue Eyes

 

Update

 

            Bragg Blvd. is now clear and the occupants of the vehicle have been identified as:

 

  1. Driver - Richard White Jr. (27)

      Morning Glory Dr (6600 block), Stedman, NC

      Status: Critical Condition

 

  1. Front Passenger - Elizabeth White (26)

      Morning Glory Dr (6600 block), Stedman, NC

      Status: Deceased

 

  1. Rear Passenger - Carl Chipman (33)

      Cedar Hill Dr. (3700 block), Fayetteville, NC

      Status: Minor Injuries

 

            According to the initial investigation, White was driving in-bound on Bragg Blvd when he lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway and struck a utility pole.

 

            At this time, there are no witnesses, if you have any information regarding this accident, please call 910-433-1036 and ask for Officer D.W. West.

 

Traffic Accident

 

            Please avoid the area of Bragg Blvd and Cape Fear Ave. until further notice.  Traffic officers are investigating a traffic related fatality and the area will be congested until the investigation is completed.

 

            Presently, all in-bound lanes of Bragg Blvd. are closed and traffic is being diverted onto Pilot Ave.  Additional information will be put out as it becomes available.
