Peeping Incident, Sex Assault Near Winnabow Area

On 6/21/10 at approximately 2:25 a.m., the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a Peeping Tom call on Bear Creek Circle. In this incident, the suspect knocked on the victim’s window and when she opened her door, the suspect attempted to pull her from the residence. When the victim screamed, the suspect jumped a fence and fled the immediate area. The suspect is described as a black male wearing a black fitted hat, shorts and no shirt.

As officers responded to the initial call, they received a second call on Bear Creek Circle in reference to a sexual assault.  A suspect fitting the same description as the first incident knocked on the back door and when the victim answered, he grabbed her and pulled her outside where he sexually assaulted the victim.

These incidents match the modus operandi and description of a suspect involved in similar crimes reported recently in the Bingham Drive area. Police investigators have been working on a similar case in this area.

The Fayetteville Police Department asks you to call 433-1856 or 483-TIPS with any information.
