At approximately 1975 hours this evening, Fayetteville Homicide Detectives took out arrest warrants for a suspect wanted for the murder of Demetrius Deshawn Johnson.
Police are looking for 27-year old, Michael Antoine McLaurin, who is charged with one count of first degree murder, 1 count of discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle, and 1 count of possession of a firearm by a felon. All of the listed charges are felonies stemming from a homicide that occurred at the Ya-Ya Food Mart located at 3122 Murchison Road, in the early morning hours of June 27, 2009.
McLaurin’s last known address is 628 Wilma Street. He is considered armed and dangerous as he has a long criminal history involving violent felonies to include murder charges. A photograph is attached to this release.
