To all Members of a Community Organization,
The Fayetteville Police Department will be hosting a Homeless Stand Down called “Closing the Gap to End Homelessness” to help those that are less fortunate, better themselves and become productive citizens. I am writing to ask for your help with the Homeless Stand Down, so we can come together to help with the needs of our Homeless Community. With you volunteering to provide your services to those that are in need, we help ensure a better quality of life for all citizens of Fayetteville and Cumberland County.
The event will take place on Wednesday, August 19th, 2009, at the Salvation Army located at 245 Alexander Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301. Breakfast will be served from 7:30 am to 8:30 am. Services are scheduled to begin from 8:30 am to 2 p.m., we would like all participants to arrive no later than 7:30 a.m., to set up and meet for a safety briefing.
I am requesting that your organization volunteer their services by helping to provide free information to the homeless adults and children. There will be at least 300 adults and children that may need your services that can not afford to pay. If your agency will consider helping out on this special day please notify me either by email firstname.lastname@example.org or at my office number (910) 433-1846. Thank you for you consideration.
