Police want to warn citizens about multiple peeping incidents that took place over the weekend in Zone 21 of the Cross Creek District, in the same general area where multiple incidents took place in late June. On 8/14/2010 between the hours of 12:24am and 10:55pm, three separate incidents were reported to police involving a black or Hispanic male looking into windows or knocking on a door and being spotted in a yard at homes located on Spindletree Drive, Winnabow Drive and Buffaloberry Place.
In one case, the suspect was described as being approximately 5-feet-6-inches in height and appeared to be without clothing. In all three incidents, the suspect fled on foot. Police are working leads regarding similar events in that area and remind citizens to call 911 to report any suspicious activity and warn citizens to never open doors to anyone you cannot identify.
Police also wish to inform citizens that on 8/17/2010 at 6pm, the Fayetteville Police Department will host a Community Crime Meeting for this area at the Calvary Bible Church located at 1769 Bingham Drive.
