Multiple Prostitution Stings Keep Lawbreakers Guessing

On 8/17/2010, the Fayetteville Police Department conducted two separate operations that wound up netting thirteen offenders, many going to jail and receiving secured bonds, for prostitution-related charges. The operations took place downtown and in the Bonnie Doone area.

Police Chief Tom Bergamine, who has recently taken an aggressive stance toward repeat offenders in the Fayetteville area, had issued warnings weeks ago that future operations were forthcoming and these operations, conducted miles apart, are a testament to that. Police have recently conducted operations during the day and some at night, each producing multiple arrests. “We aren’t going to tell you where we will be or when,” said Chief Bergamine, “But I assure you that we will be there all hours of the day and night.”

             Arrested and charged were:

  • Isahy Saavedra, 19, for two charges of Solicitation for Prostitution.

  • Jan Daniels, 48, for Solicitation for Prostitution.

  • Calvin Green, 48, for two charges of Solicitation for Prostitution.

  • Donald Trenary, 55, for Solicitation for Prostitution.

  • Jose Justo, 29, for Solicitation for Prostitution.

  • Mary Franklin, 42, for Resist, Delay and Obstructing an Officer.

  • Dawn Robert, 36, for Loitering for Prostitution, Soliciting for Prostitution, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

  • Michael Wall, 25, for Loitering for Crimes Against Nature and Soliciting for Crimes Against Nature.

  • Timothy Evans, 34, for Loitering for Crimes Against Nature and Soliciting for Crimes Against Nature.

  • Antrion Anderson, 28, for Loitering for Crimes Against Nature and Soliciting for Crimes Against Nature.

  • Anthony Cornelious Powell, 18, for Loitering for Crimes Against Nature and Soliciting for Crimes Against Nature.

  • Melissa Adams, 38, for Loitering for Prostitution and Soliciting for Prostitution

  • Kathy Richburgh, 38, for Loitering for Prostitution

The Fayetteville Police Department wants to remind the public that these charges are public record and that the names and ages of those arrested are posted on the popular new citizen alert system, Nixle.com. In the future, police will include the offender’s mug shots when available, the offender’s criminal history and the street at which they reside on the alert system as well.
