Informaiton Sought on Traffic Fatality

The victim from the fatality, Mr. Castro, was a member of the 27th Engineers stationed at Fort Bragg.  The initial investigation has revealed that Mr. Castro was involved in a physical altercation in the parking lot of the McDonald’s on Sycamore Dairy Road.  The altercation moved over onto Sycamore Dairy Road.  Mr. Castro fell down to the ground and the altercation was disbursed.  Before Mr. Castro could get back to his feet the vehicle driven by Ms. Carter struck him. 

 

The Fayetteville Police Department Traffic Unit is interested in speaking with the subject involved in the altercation with Mr. Castro.  That subject is described as a heavy set Hispanic male riding in a red pick-up truck.  No criminal charges are being sought in this incident – the Traffic Unit wishes to speak to the subject to get his version of events leading up to the traffic accident.

 

Anybody with any information on the identity of the subject involved in the altercation or anybody who was in the area of the McDonald’s who witnessed the altercation or accident is asked to call the Fayetteville Police Department Traffic Unit at (910)433-1036.
