Suspect wanted for Robbery

The Fayetteville Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance with locating a suspect wanted for robbery of a person.


On Friday, September 18, 2009 at 1012 hours, a female attempting to make a commercial bank deposit at the Bank of America on 2901 Village Drive was approached by a suspect who displayed a handgun and demanded the deposit bag from the victim.  After obtaining the bag, the suspect fled the scene. 


Witness statements led officers and detectives to 18-year old Clarence Eugene Peterson as the main suspect having committed the crime.  Peterson is currently wanted on charges of Robbery with a Deadly Weapon, Felony Conspiracy, First Degree Kidnapping, and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle.


Peterson, pictured below, should be considered armed and dangerous.
