Operation Ceasefire Movie Night

The final movie of the 2009 Operation Ceasefire Outdoor Movie Series is scheduled to show at 7:30 p.m., Friday, October 2nd at  JS Spivey Recreation Center, 500 Fisher Street, located off of Old Wilmington Road. 


Operation Ceasefire works with the community and law enforcement to help reduce gun violence in Fayetteville and Cumberland County.  The Outdoor Movie Series is designed to give youth and their families a fun and safe environment to enjoy their evening.


Admission, popcorn, and drinks are free.  The movie will be shown outdoors so bring your blankets and lawn chairs!  The Cumberland County Partnership for Children will be in attendance along with the Q98 prize van.

In addition to the normally scheduled movie night activities, the Fayetteville Police Department will host a Celebrate Safe Communities event beginning at 5:00 p.m.  Activities will include a demonstration by the police Magician and the K-9 unit.  Members of the Fayetteville Police Department’s Crime Prevention Team, Emergency Response Team, and Citizen’s Patrol Unit’s will be on-site to answer questions and provide information to attendee’s on how they can partner with law enforcement to foster safer neighborhoods.
