Nationally Acclaimed Movie Night Continues

On 9/10/2010 at 7:30pm, Operation Ceasefire will host its award winning Movie Night and will feature the film Hachi – A Dog’s Tale. Movie Night will be held at the Hope Mills Parks and Recreation Ball Field number one (behind the library and police station) and includes free admission, free popcorn and free drinks.

Hachi – A Dog’s Tale is the story about a professor who finds an abandoned dog at the train station and takes it home with the intention of returning the animal to its owner. He finds that the dog is an Akita and names it Hachiko. However, nobody claims the dog so his family decides to keep Hachi. The movie is sponsored by Operation Ceasefire, Manna Church of Hope Mills, Therapy Playground and Catholic Charities.

To find out about more about Movie Night, Operation Ceasefire and the national recognition made at the Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) national conference in New Orleans this summer, the media is welcome to contact Sgt. James Phillips at 910-433-1016 or Charla Suggs at 484-1989.
